DJ Raper was born in the Midwest, where her fascination with people and art originally led her to consider careers in anthropology and dance.  Eventually her love for words led her to become a writer.  DJ's work blends chick lit, fantasy and dark romance, embodying her passion for stories about love in the midst of darkness.
